Awestruck Academy

Awestruck Academy is Community Creative Arts Centre in the heart of Clydebank. There is an art gallery for artists to showcase their work, live performance stage as well as a training academy for the creative arts. Awestruck Academy is the place where artists can show off their work to the public within the gallery area, Awestruck will provide a pleasant facility that will inspire and support amateurs, professionals and crafters in the West Dunbartonshire art community. Awestruck Academy will host art shows, a music school, theatre shows, art lessons, art and craft fairs and host other community events. Awestruck will facilitate, organize and offer creative workshops and classes in a variety of techniques and media. It will also be home to Boy in the Corner Photography where the photography services and training will be offered by Awestruck Academy's founder and director's in house photography and videography company. They will also give the users the opportunity to take part in plays on the big stage e.g. Edinburgh Fringe, as well as other venues they perform in. In our live event area there is a stage for performance evenings. Awestruck Academy will be organizing the facilitation of the classes and workshops within the centre. Awestruck Academy is in transition to also be registered as a training provider for the SQA, to run courses alongside and in conjunction with West College Scotland. We have built a team of senior staff volunteers and also have recruited several youth volunteers as well as providing placements to students and members of the public, who wish to gain experience within the creative industry. We are also building a stage to attract the performing arts companies a venue that is not only cultural but an amazing place to showcase their field in front of an audience.
