Trainee Site Engineer

Joining Telford Homes as a Trainee in the Construction department will enable you to become an effective leader of the future. You will participate in a structured training program on our tailored trainee scheme over five or two years as a graduate or on a degree apprenticeship programme. You will develop your skills, knowledge, and behavior so you are set up to step into the role of Assistant Site Engineer at the end of your training scheme – you will be encouraged to gain a relevant industry accreditation, and we will support your efforts to do so. You will spend time working in other areas of the business to give you an understanding of how our business works as well as receiving extensive on the job training. The duration of your scheme will depend on your prior experience and whether you have already achieved a Construction related degree, and this programme can also be studied as a part-time degree apprenticeship programme supported by Telford Homes.

Your day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to:

• Oversee management and maintenance of surveying equipment on site
• Assist in Establishing and maintaining full dimensional control on site
• Maintain and manage engineering drawing information at site level
• Maintain thorough site records
• Manage temporary works
• Successful co-ordination of design on site
• Assist the checking and Quality Control of all structural elements
• Liaise with package contractors on sequencing and pour layouts, workmanship and records
• Liaise with Commercial and Technical department on cost control
• Maintain the company image, brand and presentation standards
