Archery Beginner’s Course

COURSES ARE CONDUCTED IN A SINGLE GENDER ENVIRONMENT WITH GNAS CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

This course will run for 7-8 hours focusing on the Bare-bow technique and the Target archery discipline. The course objective is to train people in the art of Archery to a level where they can demonstrate that they can shoot competently and safely , and that they understand the shooting range safety, also they are able to operate the various equipment in a club/public environment.
Session 1: Introduction to Archery, health and safety, shooting range, introduction to basic equipment, shooting technique and safe arrow retrieval.
Session 2: Follow up on session 1 with more about equipment, some sample of various bows and arrows, learn to assemble/dissemble bow and very importantly stringing a bow.
Session 3: Discussing more into technique and practising Target shooting, more on point of aim and some personal coaching.
Session 4: Assessment of pupil, identify individuals draw length and competition.
