Madrasah in East London

Description

Currently there are over 250 children who study at the Medrassa on a regular basis, Monday to Friday 5pm to 6.30pm. The teachers follow a syllabus ensuring that all children benefit from their time at the Medrassa. A wide range of subjects are covered which include Quran, Hifz, and Islamic studies. The success of this well established Medrassa is down to Allah (SWT) and the hard work of the teachers.

About our teachers

At the moment we have a couple of voluntary teachers who spend time with the children on fun and educational activities. These activities include Islamic and general knowledge quizzes, fund raising and competitions.

Teacher training sessions are held on a regular basis at the masjid and alongside our other UKIM branches. To supplement learning the teachers use white boards, projectors, computers and educational games. Examinations are held in these supplementary schools on annual basis. The Successful students are awarded certificates.

Enrollment

Enrollment takes place in at the beginning of January, April, July and October. Children join the medrassa aged 5-6 years, older children may be accepted following a strict interview process.
