Job Summary

Back Care Solutions provide ergonomic office and mobility equipment to improve the comfort, support and wellbeing of people across the UK. Due to a period of rapid growth, we are now looking for a warehouse operative to join our hardworking team.

This dual role will include working in the warehouse to ensure targets are met and improvements are made to maximise efficiency as well as providing support delivering and setting up products for customers. This may include full week of deliveries including two overnights per week.

It requires a highly motivated, conscientious and hands-on attitude. This is a great role in a fast-growing company for the right person to have the opportunity to progress and develop.

A full clean driving licence and DBS check will need to completed for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse:

· Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries

· Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received

· Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods

· Labelling goods/shelving tickets and allocating storage space for goods

· Relocating and re-stacking goods both manually and using mechanical handling equipment.

· Allocating goods that have been ordered both physically and on our stock system

· Ensuring accuracy of stock at all times and completing weekly stock checks

· Maintaining and updating stock locations

· Compliance with security procedures and health & safety including completion of weekly health & safety checks

· Maintaining the warehouse in a tidy state at all times and clearing away packing material and debris

· FLT licence would be advantageous but not essential

Delivery Technician:

Driving days 1-2 days per week delivering products and completing assessments (full training will be provided. Subsistence and hotels are provided)

· Loading own vehicle, checking paperwork and goods accuracy and securing items to ensure safe delivery

· Deliver items by identifying destinations, operating the vehicle; unloading items; maintaining schedule and communications with the customers and logistics team.

· Personal set up and installation of products to customers.

· Completing product repairs

· Collecting goods from Manufacturers

· Ensure quality is at the forefront of everything and help to drive process improvements. Empathy and understanding towards customers and resolving or forwarding complaints

· Maintains safe driving operation by complying with organisation operational policies, procedures and standards, as well as observing and complying with state and local driving rules and regulations.

· Maintain and prepare van for operation including maintaining operating efficiency by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tyre pressures and maintaining the internal and external cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle.

Hours: Mon - Fri (40 hours a week)

Additional Benefits

Salary: £19,947.00 per year

Communal surfaces are regularly sanitised & staff to wear masks when moving throughout building.
All our staff take coronavirus lateral flow tests regularly.
