Overview Of Role
The Omega-3 project at Rothamsted Research has established a reputation for world-class fundamental science with a strong focus on application and translation. We have developed GM Camelina plants that accumulate EPA+DHA in their seed oil, providing a terrestrial source of these important fatty acids.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team, providing analytical and molecular biology support and helping to characterise the next iteration of our transgenic plants. Practical experience in plant biochemistry, molecular biology and plant husbandry would be an advantage. We also carry out GM field trials, so some work beyond the lab is to be expected.
This is a full-time, fixed-term 12 month position with a salary in the range of £24,225 to £26,573 per annum.
Closing date: 8 March 2022
