Fire Glass UK Ltd is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, suppliers and glaziers of fire and acoustic glass, and is looking to appoint a factory labourer for morning shift work at their North branch, based in Worsley, Manchester.

To assist in a busy glass warehouse in the preparation of float, laminated and toughened glasses.

The job will include heavy lifting, manual handling, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

The successful applicant would also receive training in different aspects of the glass trade with the opportunity to learn a new skill set and progress within the company.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant must posses the below skills and experience:

• Job will include heavy lifting, manual handling, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• The successful applicant would also receive training in different aspects of the glass trade with the opportunity to learn a new skill set and progress within the company.
• Responsibilities: Loading, unloading and transporting of material either into store or across the site. This will involve manual handling of heavy and/or awkward objects.
• Cleaning, polishing, stamping and padding glass. Package glass and units in accordance with specified standards.
• Maintain the work area, clean, safe and organised. Assist in the waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Assist with production control process. Assist with product quality control process.
